Lancashire Hot Pot & Elmdon Park
Saturday saw a number of club members travelling north to compete on very challenging terrain near Burnley. Youngster Max Straube-Roth ran well on his 1.9km course and while mother Anne Straube ran her 4.7km course in a time of 39.27 both finishing 4th on their respective courses .Harrison McCartney was the first on the Men’s Open 7.3km course in a time of 40.22 minutes. Sheila Carey competing on her 2.8km course finished first in a time of 25.11minutes.
Sunday was a family affair for the Straubes with Max coming in second on his 2.4km course in a time of 32.32 while both of his parents Anne and Daniel won their respective courses. Sheila Carey maintaining her current form won her 4km course on Sunday in a time of 78.46 minutes.
Meanwhile more locally at Elmdon Park a large number of club members competed against each other in a 45 minute score event. The event saw new member Alistair Landels come in second overall with a score of 310, closely followed by junior Oliver Lunn who scored 290 points. Aleksandrs Ivanovs and Sam Leadley both on 280 points were not far behind them.
