The London City Race is now well established as a great Urban orienteering event and this sixth one was run on the Isle of Dogs for the first time and attracted runners from 31 countries. Organised by South London Orienteers over 1200 competitors travelled on the Dockland Light Railway to the start by West India Docks and ran along courses planned to visit areas to find controls around high rise buildings including Canary Wharf, along riverbanks, across swing bridges and through Mudchute, the inner city farm.
