Organisers' comments:

Despite the weather - repeated heavy showers, a very brief but heavy hailstorm, and a couple of thunderstorms - we had a very reasonable turnout of almost 50 competitors. On the positive side there was a very impressive double rainbow just after the hailstorm in one of the short sunny intervals...

Everyone seemed to enjoy running somewhere new, several visited the shop (I saw them coming back with NHC bags) and quite a number used the Bistro for at least a drink. For at least one competitor the children's playground towards the end of the Easy course proved to be a strong distraction!

The Herb Centre were very cooperative throughout which helped things run smoothly. They kept the Bistro open late serving drinks which was appreciated by many after drying out from their run.

We were all cleared away by 20:40 - thanks Tom for your help to collect controls and then taking away all the soggy equipment ready for next week at Borough Hill, Daventry.

Thanks you all for leaving everything as if we hadn't been there - apart from some new tracks through the longer grass and the rapidly growing nettles.
Bruce and Liz

PS. If anyone would like either a fresh map or one from a different course I will bring them along on Wednesday evenings for the next few weeks.
