Organiser's Commments

Thank you for coming along.  It had been a busy afternoon, as Karin had arranged for us to entertain a coach-load of 8 year old school children from London who were new to orienteering.  It went well - the children (and staff) enjoyed the new experience.

We had rain for our evening event, but this did not dampen those who turned out.  One or two controls went walk-about during the event - thanks to those who put them back in place.  Thanks also to John Middler, Roman Kotecky, Mike Snell, Lin Page and Leo Morgado for control collecting.  I was home in Coventry by 9 pm, in time to watch England football ladies beat Columbia in the World Cup.

And so to Sutton Park next week, where Lin has planned Yellow, Orange and Green orienteering courses to supplement the Gates Run.  Hope to see you all there.

Bob.
