Burbage is the first of our new series of social training runs offering members a chance to get together, have a relaxed run around a simple score or line course and then meet up afterwards for a chin wag in a pub or cafe. We are trying these over the next few weeks prior to making them a more regular fixture next winter. A simple Open Orienteering Map format will be used meaning that courses can be arranged in practically any urban area and on rural footpaths without the need for specialised mapping. Downloadable pdf maps will be available prior to the sessions (attachment link below) and the courses will be uploaded to MapRun for anyone who wants to use them. It means that the courses are very simple to plan so why not have a go at setting one up yourself?

This one will start from 18.30 onwards from the Millennium Hall car park with the only proviso that you might not want to be too late if you want to eat at The Chequers. Just roll up and start when you like although it would be great if you let me know if you intend to come along so that I can let the pub know the rough numbers.
