The sun shone and made the day very pleasant, if not rather wet underfoot from the recent rain. It was really good to have so many school based competitors, particularly those who had taken part in last weeks Kenilworth Schools Championships. The yellow course was challenging and planned up to standard. I decided to take runners into the woods as its more fun than just running round the Park. The times show that all the competitors were successful. Control number 144 was not in the right place. It was about 50 metres North West of the correction location, which was the middle of a holly thicket!. Many were troubled by 143 the pit. I recehecked this again and it was in the right place, adjacent to the large depresion by the road. Following the paths from the previous control took you safely to it, but it was a control to slow down for. 7 Mianda Aston, Ulli Ull & Jake S OD 60.10
