Organiser’s Comments

What a great turnout for the first local Saturday event of the season! There were eventually 49 competitors, 30 seniors and 19 juniors, including a number of new faces who have asked for membership details. It was a shame that the rain dampened the last hour or so, and I apologise in advance if any of you feel I’ve underestimated you score; some of the latter control cards were soggy in the extreme! However, it was a cracking day and served to remind me why the work up-front is so worthwhile.

Thanks are due to Helen and Matt for helping me put out the controls and looking after the start and finish, to Bob for the tent (boy did we need it!), and to Bob and Ted Richards for their help in collecting the controls back in.
