I hope you enjoyed your run, the club's first long distance orienteering event

on a new map produced for the occasion. Putting the controls out took longer

than I expected, mainly due to a confrontation with a herd of cows.

Thanks are due to Mike Hampton, who started first and took controls 3 and 4 with him to put

out as he went round. Also to Peter Guillaume who collected some of them in for me the following day.

 

Feedback seems to be that the running made this event more enjoyable than the shorter, more difficult,

 event at Woodcote last year. So look out for a similar sort of race next year.
