Organiser’s Comments
A wet and cold November morning, the Rugby World
Cup final in prospect, and where am I…Coundon Hall Park!! Thankfully, 30 other
brave souls managed to drag themselves away from the TV, and we had an enjoyable
morning.
I’m sorry about the missing control on the Green
course, and would like to thank John Ward for his speedy replacement, having
found a control from last year’s event! The original control did eventually
turn up, somewhat dog-eared (literally!), but at least replacing the one that
disappeared between the courses closing and collecting the controls in.
Many thanks to Helen and Matt for their help in
placing and collecting controls, and to the group from UWOC who swelled the
numbers and proved that technology can beat anyone! Ask Graham Gristwood about
my attempts to capture the day on a digital camera!
