As an event virgin, I have to say a massive thank you to Bob Brandon for his invaluable time, effort and experience in helping me with every stage of putting on this event. Also thank you to everyone who took part (and the parent supporters) - the evening turned out cold and clear after the awful rain of the morning, so we were all grateful for that! Sorry about the lack of tents – the gale force winds at dusk just made it impossible to put them up. Well done to Jess, who pipped her Dad to the top spot! It’s great feeling to put something back into the club and I have every respect for those who organise events. I never dreamt that it would be so time-consuming!!
