RESULTS FROM BRITISH SCHOOLS SCORE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Over 55 schools competed in the British Schools Score Orienteering Championships held at Bagworth Heath Woods, Leicestershire.  It was great to see so many club juniors representing their school.  This year some of the top runners were girls and results are as follows:

Pippa Smart, Year 9, Myton School, was 1st finding 22 controls within the 45 minutes allowed, scoring 220 points, Florence Lunn and Tabitha Lunn, were 1st 230 points and 2nd 210 points both from Kenilworth School, Ella-Rose McCartney was 3rd Year 12/13, Bablake School, with 230 points. Congratulations to Kenilworth School being awarded 3rd team in the Lower Secondary Girls school category.

4th Oliver Flippance, 310 points Year 10/11, Kenilworth School

5th Oliver Lunn, 310 points Year 10/11, Kenilworth School

5th Amber Ballard, 160 points, Year 9 Kenilworth School

7th Peter Markham 210 points Year 8, Ash Green School, Coventry

6th Cameron Williams-Stein, 255 points, Year 9 Kenilworth School

6th Alfie Bullus, 310 points, The Warriner School, Banbury

8th Nathan Chapple, 240 points Year 9, Kenilworth School

9th Sophie Stratton, 140 points Year 9, Kenilworth School

10th Finlay Flippance 170 points Year 7, Kenilworth School

FELIX LUNN HELPS ENGLAND JUNIOR TEAM TO A GREAT WIN

England were the winners overall this weekend scoring 136 points ahead of Scotland’s 121 points and were awarded the Ward Junior Home International Trophy. Felix Lunn M14, part of the team, had a great run in the relay with his team coming 3rd and was he second fastest on his leg.

CLUB MEMBERS TO REPRESENT HOME NATIONS

Congratulations to club members: Matthew Elkington M21, Harrison McCartney M20 and Julie Emmerson W20 who will be representing England, and Kirsten Strain W21, representing Scotland at the Senior Home Internationals on 22/23 October in Wales.
