WEST MIDLANDS LEAGUE AND PARK CHAMPIONSHIPS
After 6 events Octavian Droobers are leading the West Midlands Orienteering League with 6702 points ahead of Walton Chasers 5827 and Harlequins 5703s. The next league event, organised by the club, is also the West Midlands Park Championships which will be held on Sunday 13 July at Brueton & Malvern Park, Solihull.
Competitors will be running on 5 different age related courses with distances of between 1.3km to 5.1km using a specially drawn large scale map and an electronic timer. Courses are available for beginners from 5 – 85 years and a ‘follow the string course’ for toddlers and under 5 years will feature too. Start times for the event are from 10.30 until 12 noon and courses close at 2pm. Presentations will be at 1.00pm
