This event will be ideal practice
for the British Schools Score Championships which takes place the following
Saturday (10th October). All welcome. Polesworth is three miles east of Tamworth. From the centre of Polesworth travel west on the B5000. Over the canal bridge then turn right (north) up Pooley Lane, signed to the Heritage Centre. From the M42 junction 10, take the A5 exit towards Tamworth then almost immediately follow the sliproad and two small roundabouts signed B5080 for Stoneydelph. After about one mile on the B5080 turn right at the roundabout, signed B5000 to Polesworth. Follow this road for one mile, over the motorway, then after 600 yards turn left up Pooley Lane, signed to the Heritage Centre. The entrance to the Heritage Centre is at map reference SK 257024 on sheet 140. You will need £1 in coins for the car
park barrier. On the day only. Registration from 10.00 am. Suggested donation - Seniors: £5.00; Juniors: £2.00 - or more if you wish. 60 minute mass start score event. Pre-marked maps. There will be a loop of controls forming a simple Yellow course which will be suitable for Juniors. The EMIT electronic punching system will be used. EMIT card hire £1.00 per card. The area is the site of the former North
Warwickshire Colliery and consists of a large semi-wooded spoil hill with
some contour features, and flatter areas of field and rough open. The whole
